At the beginning of this year, the Lord made a covenant with us from Isaiah 54:2-3.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Enlarge the place of thy tent
The Lord is saying, “what I want to do is big but your container is too small. Go and look for more containers. I want to do awesome things in your life. Your faith is too small compared to what I want to do. Your vision is too short compared to what I want to do. Your determination is too small to accommodate what I want to do. You need faith.”
For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left
When the Lord said that you shall break forth to the right and to the left, it will come to pass. We are experiencing it already. Though God gave us Isaiah 54: 2-3 and the theme of incredible enlargement for this year, He began manifesting it from the end of last year, 2020. God tagged 2020 our year of overflowing expansion and right away, we began to see it. So you can see, God meant what He was saying. In the time of Covid 19 the Lord started doing marvelous things. This was when Mount Zion Institute Alumni International Fellowship (MZIAIF) started. When there was a lock down, God was opening the heavens for us. Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama campus went from a little space to large halls. This happened just between July and November. The Lord built a bigger place for us. Everything was so fast, the construction was so fast because the Lord did it. We were rejoicing over this.
Then we entered into this year and the Lord said, “No! you have not started yet. I am taking you through incredible enlargement.” Immediately, we began to see it. MZIAIF went global, expanding to around 65 countries. This is an incredible enlargement! I pray this will extend to your personal life, in the mighty name of Jesus. We will see that enlargement in every ramification of our ministries, lives, homes, and marriages in the name of Jesus.
He said that we should get set and not hold back; that we should strengthen our faith. This is not the time for weak faith because He will not do anything without your faith. You must agree with what He said. This is not the time for fear and doubt in your vision or in the assignment God is committing into your hands.
If your faith is strong and your vision sharp, many things are going to be happening very fast in your life and ministry, by the promise He has given us. Whatever the container you provide, He will fill. The Lord is fulfilling His word. He is faithful to His word. But you have to play your part. The commandment of the Lord is straightforward but it is not automatic. It is conditional.
Now, in Psalm 92:12 He says,
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
This Scripture is coming to us again and again. It is the righteous that will flourish and grow. Even at old age, the righteous shall not retire but shall be continually fruitful. You will not get tired because the Lord said, it is time to break forth to the right and break forth to the left.
Who is the righteous?
Look at Psalm 1: 1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
- He delights in reading the word of God and his joy is in the commandment and the instruction of the word of God. Read Genesis to Numbers, you will discover that the Lord consistently spoke to Moses and it consistently says “and Moses did as the Lord has commanded.” This was the secret of Moses’ exploits, the secret of the great manifestation of the power of God in his life. Some people hate the law of God. They call it restriction or bondage.
Here, David is saying that the righteous man who will flourish delights in the law. Choose to delight in God’s instruction by honoring God with your substance, money, resources, marriage, lifestyle, submission to your husband, love for your wife, or obedience to your parents.
- He takes delight in the law of the Lord. Day and night, he meditates on God’s word. Search out for His instructions for your life. Be happy when He is “restricting” your movement or when He gives you a hard word. You might wake up in the morning and He says, “you are fasting today.” He might tell you to contribute to a mission project or a kingdom assignment.
- He does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. He shall not enjoy counseling, direction, or a pattern of life from unbelievers even if the pattern of life is favoring them. He will not desire the prosperity of the unrighteous who cuts corners and falsifies figures. God does not compromise His standard.
- He does not sit in the seat of the scornful. The scornful are those who jest about God. They despise holiness. They despise God.
Play your part
God did not just promise, it is a solid covenant. The Bible speaks about Isaac’s unstoppable flourishing. In Genesis 26 Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year, a hundred fold. The time that Isaac sowed it was the time of farming and there was famine in the land. But God told Isaac not to go to Egypt. He said, “stay in this land. This is where I will bless you.” A man that will flourish, his life is not determined by geography. It is determined by God. A man that will flourish must first sow, like Issac did.
That is part of the secret of incredible enlargement. The Lord told us at the beginning of this year to do incredible giving, incredible sowing, incredible practice. No shortcuts. Sowing precedes reaping. Even if you have been sowing and you have not seen the results, don’t stop. God is faithful. Seeds yield at different time frames.
As the Lord begins to enlarge your coast and stretch the curtain of your habitation, get ready to give for the kingdom. When the Lord said He wants to expand you to the right and to the left, He knows you are going to need resources. So when He begins to bring the resources, get ready to sow for the expansion. Don’t wait until you have plenty. Remember the widow of Zarephath. If the Lord has released anointing for enlargement and breaking forth, be careful not to forget to plant seed for that enlargement. Be careful to separate the seed from the bread.
That is the secret of flourishing. In 1 Kings 4, as long as there were empty vessels the oil did not stop flowing. As soon as there were no more empty vessels, the oil dried up. If you desire unstoppable flourishing this year, keep pouring into empty vessels, in your church, school, and on social media, everywhere.
Don’t waste your time on social media, posting things that don’t expand God’s Kingdom. Preach the gospel, post your daily devotional. There are hungry souls that want to get filled. Let your phone become your pulpit. This is the end-time. Jesus Christ is coming back. Things are folding up. Tell the world about it.
Keep searching for empty vessels around you. Keep pouring your gift. If you can sing, keep singing. If you can talk, keep talking. If you know how to write very well, keep writing for the Kingdom. Don’t let a day pass without you using a moment of your time for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. This is the only way to keep the oil multiplying inside of you.
May this covenant God has made with us be established in your life in the name of Jesus. Break forth to the left, break forth to the right! Inherit the entire city, in the mighty name of Jesus.
