(Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)
God made each season, and each season has its sole purpose. Everything has its season and time to fulfill its purpose under heaven: a time to plant, a time to water, a time to nurture the plant, and a time to pluck or harvest; a time to be born and a time to die. What does this mean? God made each season and each season is created beautifully and uniquely to its purpose.
In spring, farmers plant seeds because spring is a time to dig the ground and do the dirty muddy work for us to eat. The seeds start to grow and, during the summer, they continue to grow until they turn into plants. The seed stage comes to its end. The plants must be cared for, getting enough water and sun. When is the plant ready for harvest? Usually, farmers gather the harvest of their hard work during the fall season.
What season are you in?
Mathew 24:15-21 talks about discernment of the season. If you are on the mountain top don’t come down; if you are caught coming down that means you did not properly discern the time. You can go to church to sing, worship, and be of good behavior but at what point did you meet with Him? At what point did you go through the order of the seasons for you to be in your new season? Look at the life of Jacob and the ladder. God was there but he did not know.
It meant he did not have an encounter with God. He did not properly discern the season he was in until he found himself in a new season; and there he had his encounter. As a seed in the hand of your Maker, have you allowed Him to water and nurture you for cultivating and harvesting His kingdom?
Are you in your new season? Have you allowed yourself to be a seed in the hand of your Master?
