It’s a fact that this pandemic period has been difficult for most people. We are unable to do the things we used to do such as visiting and playing sports with our family and friends. But don’t worry, this won’t last forever! Do you know that God has promised us a new beginning? According to Isa 43:19, God affirmed in His word for us to “Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it? I will make a road in the desert. I will make rivers in the dry land” (International Children’s Bible).
In the book of Numbers 13 & 14, when the twelve spies got back from the land of Canaan, ten of them believed they could not conquer the giants in the land of Canaan, but Joshua and Caleb chose to see differently. They saw victory through the eyes of faith. Dear friend, what are you seeing during this period? Remember, God has promised us a new beginning! Just like Joshua and Caleb, let’s choose to see victory, joy, peace, etc.
Joshua and Caleb did not only see victory through the eyes of faith, they also claimed their victory through the words of their mouth. And you know what? They made it into the promised land!
As you start each day, tell yourself,
I am victorious. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made…
Instead of focusing on the situations around us, let us choose to focus on the wonderful plans God has for us and keep saying what God says He will do for us. Before you know it, you will be enjoying newness all around.
Activity
God has given us wonderful and precious promises. Search the scriptures for God’s promises to you and declare them each morning when you wake up.
