Psalm 23
“The Lord is my shepherd.”
The first verse determines the rest of the six verses of Psalm 23. I pray, therefore, that God will grant you His Holy Spirit, enabling you to follow the Shepherd like a sheep, without argument and without walking in your own way. Receive the spirit to obey His voice, the spirit not to be arrogant, the spirit not to stray from His presence, in the mighty name of Jesus.
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
As you follow the Lord, may you walk and live in abundance according to His word; abundance for your spirit, soul, and body. May the word of God be established in your life. Go and experience everything He has designed for you. You shall not want, you will live in abundance, and you will walk in abundance, in the mighty name of Jesus.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures”
As you follow Him wherever He leads you, He will continually bring you to green pastures, to the fertile ground, in the mighty name of Jesus. The places to which He will lead you will all be green, and plentiful with harvest. There, you will lie down in satisfaction and peace. You shall not be in want, you will not be in dryness. Your ground shall be fertile throughout the coming year and beyond, in the mighty name of Jesus.
“He leads me beside the still waters.”
As you let Him be your Shepherd, He will bring you to still waters, not the stormy sea, not stormy waters. It will be calm waters where you can drink, where the water will not carry you away or drown you. His word gives you great assurance. I declare that His word will come to pass in your life, in the mighty name of Jesus.
“He restores my soul.”
I declare that you shall enjoy a full restoration of your soul. As you follow the Lord, your soul will not be in famine or dryness, in the mighty name of Jesus. You will not lack the Word of God, direction, guidance, or spiritual food. Your soul shall continually be alert and well. The Lord shall restore your soul from evil and danger, in the name of Jesus.
“He leads me in the paths of righteousness.”
As He leads as a Shepherd and you follow like a sheep, you shall not fall or falter. You shall not compromise your faith. He will guide you in the paths of righteousness. You will not fall victim to evil neither will you fall into wrong hands. You will not be deceived nor scammed in the mighty name of Jesus. You will not enter into danger neither will the devil get you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Wherever you go, even if it is the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord God of Israel will be with you. The Lord will accompany you. He will surround you with His presence. You shall walk in His presence and His glory shall envelop you. I declare that the Lord’s comfort is all around you, on all sides, in the name of Jesus.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.”
When the enemies shall gather against you, you shall enjoy the Lord’s presence right there before them, in the mighty name of Jesus. Instead of you running away, they shall run away from your presence. They shall run away from you because you shall move around in the presence of the Lord. You shall enjoy the Lord’s full protection all through the coming years and beyond, in the mighty name of Jesus.
“You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.”
It is one thing for the Lord to anoint you, and it is another dimension for the anointing to run over and flow to all those people around you. It is another dimension entirely. So, you shall enjoy the double dimension, the dimension of being anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the dimension of having overflow, the overflowing anointing upon your life that will affect everyone around you. I prophetically declare, receive the anointing to excel, in the mighty name of Jesus!
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
As you allow the Lord to shepherd you this coming year, I declare, goodness shall be your companion. Mercy shall follow anywhere you go. Favor shall be all around you. The glory of the Lord shall be your umbrella. The spirit of excellence shall be your walking stick as you walk around. Divine protection shall be your regalia, in the name of Jesus.
“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
That last word, ‘forever,’ means a lot. Do you know where the Lord is leading you as you follow Him? He is leading you to His house in heaven to live there with Him forever. I pray you will not miss heaven in the name of Jesus. You will not lose your reward, in the name of Jesus. The pleasures, calamities, and problems of this world will not take your heaven away from you, in the mighty name of Jesus.
It is well with you, in Jesus’ name.
Amen!
