Conversation between two friends.
Evelyn: Ann, you are taking things too deeply. Christianity doesn’t mean you have to act like you are your savior. Christ has paid it all on the cross. Please let me have fun. I’m still young.
Ann: Mmm! Seriously Evie, you are not serious with your acceptance of Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confessing Christ on the day you accepted Him is great, but it shouldn’t stop there, honey. You need to check your life now and start being a real Christian.
Evelyn: There you go again, Ann. I’m a Christian and I know it. I don’t need you to lecture me on it…
Ann: Then you need to deepen your relationship with God. When last did you read your Bible?
Evelyn: Does that matter?
Ann: Yeahhhh! You would not have been saved if someone didn’t read their Bible and preached to you. Sweetheart, you need to get back to your Bible and start being a better Christian.
Evelyn: Please, let me be. Let me enjoy my life as a Christian. Being a Christian does not stop me from having fun. I go to the club, do some “youthful” things, wear some nice revealing clothes, because, sweetheart, I’m still single and searching. Don’t try to cage me in with all those ideas you have in your head.
Ann: I’m so sorry but this is not going to get you to heaven. It does not please the Lord.
Evelyn: Hmmmm… Pastor!!
Beloved, it’s time for us to go back to the cross. It’s obvious the friends are two different types of believers – like some of us today. But I don’t see a different Jesus. If Christ is one, then His message should be one. The Bible is one! I believe Christ says to all what He says to one.
